David L Thomas Jr. is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of ERA Boston Real Estate Group and also a Principal and Chief Executive Officer of CityState LLC, a downtown Boston property management firm and of CityState Construction LLC.

A licensed real estate broker and experienced real estate and financing attorney, his professional credentials are coupled with years of experience in real estate sales, leasing, and property ownership, management and development. David is on the board of the Beacon Hill Civic Association, serving as its treasurer and has chaired the committee which has led the successful opposition to a proposed Suffolk University dormitory in the neighborhood. He also serves on the Mayor`s Task Force charged with reviewing the next Suffolk University institutional master plan. Mr. Thomas also currently serves on the boards of Beacon House and the Cambridge Street Community Development Corporation, and previously has served on the boards of Hill House and the Beacon Hill Business Association. Nationally, he is a member of the board of Haverford College in Pennsylvania, chairing its Property Committee.

David lives with his wife on Beacon Hill. Their son, daughter-in-law and grandson live on the island of Mallorca in Spain and their daughter lives in New York City where she attends New York University.
